Janine is a driven hospitality enthusiast who embarked on her career in the industry during her teenage years, deftly balancing her studies with work commitments. With a background rooted in the South African bush where she was born and raised, her profound love for the natural world led her to embark on an unforgettable journey in the tourism industry back in 2007, when she set foot on Tanzanian soil at the young age of 19. This transformative experience sparked her curiosity for exploring diverse landscapes and cultures, instilling in her a deep commitment to preserving the beauty of the natural environment. It is here where she met her husband, Henk, and her solo adventure became a shared one.
Throughout her career, Janine has been fortunate to travel across continents and oceans, immersing herself in remote and beautiful destinations like Mozambique, The Seychelles, The Middle East, The Caribbean and now Guatemala. Along this incredible path, she has had the humbling opportunity to host individuals from various walks of life, including Royalty and renowned A-list celebrities. Janine's utmost joy comes from creating meaningful guest experiences, aiming to surpass expectations and craft cherished memories for guests that last a lifetime.
Having worked in remote and isolated areas, Janine has honed invaluable life skills and developed the ability to adapt and find resourceful solutions in challenging situations where resources are limited. This exposure to diverse cultures has instilled in her a deep appreciation and acceptance of different methodologies and traditions.
Her passion for self-development extends not only to her personal growth but also to the growth and development of others.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of her career thus far has been the opportunity to mentor and train individuals, witnessing their transformation into professionals who may have otherwise lacked exposure to formal training due to their isolated and rural upbringing.
